Inspired.

I find myself multiple times daily looking on our local buy and sell website, hunting through the free section. Most of the time, there is nothing, and I continue on with my list of websites to visit. My daily blogs, Pinterest and finally Facebook. I find that most of all, I get roped into Pinterest and spend hours repining things, that chances are I will never make. I decided the other day, that I was going to change that. I was going to make at least one thing each month, and document how it went.

Mind you, I will probably make more than one thing. I will probably get extremely motivated and think I could conquer everything. I am no stranger to arts and crafts. Growing up as a child, I use to always be into the glue and glitter. While I was in High School, I use to make greeting cards to pass the Sunday afternoons. Since I have moved out into my own apartment, I have started to take on bigger tasks. I decided that I was going to re-purpose an old table set, that I had purchased for $30. I also decided that I would paint the microwave stand to match the dining room set. That wasn't so much a success, but it did the trick, and makes my OCD about that room vanish. That should be all that counts.

Just this evening, I managed to hit a gold mine online, and found a lazyboy reclining chair. Now, when I talk about reclining chair, I'm not talking about those big poofy ones, as I call them. I'm talking about a club chair that is a recliner. Since we moved out, it has always been on our "to purchase" list, but there has been the great debate as to which to purchase. My boyfriend wants to ugly, as I am more drawn to the clean lines of other ones.

Our battle was ended tonight when I found my new reclining chair for FREE. They had purchased it, never used it, and instead of selling it, decided that giving it away would be much faster and easier. Of course I jumped on that wagon. So tomorrow I pick up my little gem.

The color of the sofa is absolutely hideous, but I figure that if I need to cover it, and give it some love, than it would be worth is since I don't have anything tied into it yet. I'm dreaming of gorgeous fabrics to recover it in. I'll update more tomorrow when I get the chair home and can take some pictures of it myself.

This is the start of "The Wilson Project", sit back and enjoy!
